DP William Ruto holds a campaign in Narok

Deputy President William Ruto has been of late making tours all over the country to prepare the voters for the next general election 2022. On Thursday, i.e yesterday the DP was in Kajiado. He addressed wananchi in Kajiado and Ilbisil towns on my way to Maparasha Olchoro Oibor for the Olngesher Lool Ilmerishie ceremony of the Matapato clan.

William Ruto was in the company of more than 40 Members of Parliment (MPs) from across the country in Kajiado County. The Deputy President is very keen to get the 1.5 million votes in Maasai.

The members of Parliament who accompanied the Deputy President in Kajiado told the Government to stop the second registration of Huduma Number, taming it a strategy to use in 2022 to steal elections.

MP for Kikuyu, Kimani Ichungwa told the government to stop hiding behind the National Security Intelligence Service (NSIS) in government procurement and follow the right procedures in making procurement.

The DP tweeted, “We will continue pushing for stronger participation in the promotion and documentation of our customs as a way of preserving our legacies for the future generation.”

William Ruto seems not to fear his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta anymore. That is why he even attacked the BBI indirectly by tweeting, “We must unite as leaders and confront our challenges as a country. Rather than seeking to create more seats and positions for ourselves, let us have a discourse on the empowerment of the people. This is not the time to instill fear to Kenyans but hope for a better tomorrow.”

Just as an expression of passing information to the president he keeps repeating that we should not instill fear on citizens nor use the administration to interfere with politics. It worries so much how the second in command will not be in control of government resources and yet he is his second in command.

Deputy President William Ruto during their first term when their “love” him and the president was blossoming they used to condemn CORD who were Raila, Wetangula, and Kalonzo. CORD used to claim that the government is misusing government resources but the DP attacked them fiercely on several occasions. Little did he knew things will change one day.
